We didn’t join the wellness industry. We created a category it had never seen.
The world’s first Social Wellness Club®, where taking care of yourself became a way to connect, and where an idea the world once doubted became the way it now lives.

Club®
A decade ago, this was the most “LA” idea anyone had ever heard.
Self-Care was dismissed as soft, and even the most beautiful article would end the same way: but there isn’t enough clinical evidence. If you had said, ten years ago, that human connection was one of the most important things for your health, you would have been laughed off the stage.
We built it anyway. We put purpose behind every detail, gathered our own data, and trusted what we could see. Slowly, the world caught up. The research arrived. Acceptance followed. Today it is normal to want to take care of yourself, and human connection as medicine is no longer fringe, it is proven.
What was once the most improbable concept is now discussed around the world, bigger than Remedy, or any one person. That ripple was always the dream. It just turned out bigger than we imagined.

Dr. Jonathan Leary
He was fascinated by health long before he could explain why, endlessly curious, certain he wanted to be a doctor without yet knowing the reason. When he finally saw healthcare up close, and lived it firsthand, the reason arrived: he saw an opportunity to care for people in an entirely new way, and he decided to do it his own.
He opened his private clinical practice in 2015, focused on surgery prevention and chronic pain, with advanced training across functional medicine, chiropractic, physiotherapy, and Chinese medicine. Treating executives, athletes, and cultural leaders, he built a body of firsthand clinical insight that became the foundation of Remedy Place. His patients got healthier, but often lonelier, because the healthy life pulled them from how they used to socialize. So he set out to build a place where taking care of yourself and being with people were the same act.
“My goal was not always this. It changed, and became: to give people another way to socialize, one that made them feel better, not worse.”
Changing human behavior rooted deep in history is not fast, and not easy. But it is happening. I never wanted to speak against anything or anyone, only to build a better option, prove it works, and let people feel the difference. Watching the world embrace what it once doubted is the most rewarding part of all of this.
Everyone said a wellness club couldn’t look like this.
When I set out to design Remedy, I was told health and wellness had to be bright, white, clinical, or loud with color. I saw the opposite. I’ve always had a clear vision for how our spaces must feel, I can see the finished club the moment I walk into an empty room meant to be ours. Dark, warm, intentional, the antithesis of a clinic.
A space that calms you the instant you step inside isn’t decoration; it’s part of the treatment. I took over the design entirely and trusted the vision, and it became one of the most recognized looks in wellness, and, like everything else, widely imitated since.

The Timeline · 2012 → Today
The line for the chiropractor was longer than the line for the bar.
TAO Group brought us in for their day party at Coachella, one of the wildest of the festival, built for music and drinks. We popped up IV drips, our doctors, and our ice bath class. By afternoon, more people were lined up for care than for cocktails. I looked out and thought: human behavior is changing, and people are ready.
